The blessing of the children is a very moving Shabbat tradition. It takes place on Friday night before sitting down to the Shabbat meal. The custom is for the father or mother to place their hands on the child’s head and recite the blessing. In some homes it is followed by personal words of praise. This piece incorporates the names of your children/grandchildren in the background – the perfect gift for the parents or grandparents who have been blessed with a loving family.
